thank you for your visit, comment and b...Hi Robert,<br />thank you for your visit, comment and beautiful haiku.<br />Traditional Japanese haiku was written in a 575 syllable count (Japanese mora) but it evolved and this rule is broken now even in Japan. We should remember that 11 English syllables is a suitable approximation of 17 Japanese syllables. I too do write 575 haiku but this is not a must.
